Gareth Williams has recently stood up for local residents and businesses by demanding action and compensation from Thames Water after parts of Chalfont St. Peter were disrupted by flooding and sewage leaks. Together with local councillors, Gareth met with the management at Thames Water and secured assurances that sewer lining work would be commencing once the flows permit. This work will help prevent groundwater ingress into the sewage system and therefore help prevent sewage leaks. In the short term tanker deployment will be increased to lower the levels. To make sure that they continue to be held to account, Thames Water have also agreed to meet with and update the local Parish Council. In addition to this, Gareth worked with Thames Water and Buckinghamshire Highways to reopen the shopping precinct car park.
