I’m hugely honoured to have been selected as conservative candidate to be your MP here in Chesham and Amersham.
This is where I serve as a local Councillor, where I live with my wife and three children and where I volunteer with charities and community groups.
I have a strong track record of delivering for our community.
After a career as Managing Director of two International banks, I have been at the forefront of improving services locally for residents and businesses.
Cost of living - having been a debt coach with Christians Against Poverty in Chesham for five years and a Trustee at Restore Hope Latimer, I know and understand the pressures some in our community face. I launched the ‘Helping Hands’ scheme, the largest provision of aid to those in need across the county.
Greenbelt - I am the only person in the history of the county who has introduced a policy to expand the greenbelt. As a board member of the Chilterns Conservation Board, I’m determined to protect the outstanding natural heritage around us.
Crime and anti-social behaviour - as a member of the police’s independent advisory group, I regularly meet with senior local officers and have made sure patrols were increased in problem areas when residents raised concerns with me.
Education - Having benefitted from an outstanding education myself, attending Durham and Cambridge Universities, I am determined that the best possible education should be available for everyone to achieve their aspirations. I have been a Governor at two primary schools and helped fundraise £830,000 for Challoner’s girls school towards excellence in STEM subject areas.
Together we can all make Chesham and Amersham an even greater place to grow up, live and work.
