Hundreds of households in Buckinghamshire are set to benefit from £5m of new funding to make their homes more energy efficient as part of a joint project paid for by Central Government funding.
The news will be welcomed by households across the county, many of whom are at risk of being pushed into fuel poverty due to rising fuel costs. The grants are for households with a gross annual income of less than £30,000 or receiving eligible benefits, and properties must have an energy rating of D, E, F or G.
Gareth said ‘I am delighted we have this government support to help those in most need with their fuel bills. This money will go towards low carbon heating measures such as loft, underfloor and external wall insulation, underfloor insulation, solar pv and air source heat pumps.’
